Quick Hello!

Hello Lovelies! I'm so sorry I haven't been keeping up with my blog. I've been caught up in between moving into a new house with two of my Sisters and getting ready for school. Today was actually my first day of my third semester in college! I have little time but I will get back to it very soon! Have a nice day and good luck to everyone who is also starting school again.

DIY: from bags to shelves

Hello lovelies! This week I was inspired by Andrea from AndreasChoice after viewing her latest DIY for decorative shelves. This is something I will definitely try once I move in to the new house. But for now I'll do something different for my room at my parents house. Crazy thing, my first two years in higschool I was an avid Hollister and Abercrombie shopper and I used to keep all my bags for some odd reason. In result I still have tonssss of bags in my closet so I had this idea to make good use out of them. Instead of buying baskets I cut the bags and used those! Here's how I did it...

What you need:
  1. Bags (Doesnt matter which ones you want to use but make sure they're pretty sturdy like these are)
  2. Scissors
  3. Tape
  4. Thumb Tacks or Double Sided Tape (Whatever you want to use to put them up)
Step one: Cut off a chunk from the top of the bag. You can cut off as much as you want. The more you cut the smaller the shelf will be. I recommend making them relevantly small bc they look kind of awkward on the wall when they're bigger.
Step two: Cut a slit on each corner of the bag. Make sure they're all about the same size!! It will look somewhat like a box with the flaps out.
Step three: Then fold those flaps down (inward) and tape them. Put the tape on the inside so it's not visible. Now it looks like a small cubby.

Now it's your choice what you want to do with them and what to put inside. I have a couple of different options. You can put the vertically, horizontally, ext.. TIP: If you're putting heavier stuff in them and you feel the need to add more support, use two bags together! If you have two bags of the same size just layer them together.
I didn't keep them like this I just want to demonstrate both ways.
You can always just use them this way. You can make it a pencil/pen holder or even for socks, undies whatevs.
This is how I have mine for my turbans and hair accessories.
OR! You can always use your shoe boxes! You can decorate them or wrap them with fabric or paper. I use my shoe boxes as containers for my hairspray, hair brushes, and other random stuff. Let me know how yours turn out!

DIY T-shirt

Wooo, I'm excited for this one! I came across a girl named Rhiannon on YouTube and I decided to suscribe to her channel. I saw her "Cosmic Inspired DIY T-Shirt" video. I had an extremely old and faded black shirt in a pile of clothes that was in desperate need of something like this. I cropped a few inches from the bottom and about a quarter of an inch from the sleeves just to add a little bit of flow to it. I'll post pictures of my shirt and the video tutorial of course.

After my shirt dried I fixed the bottom crop of the shirt and added my own twist. I cut out a heart from a piece of leopard print fabric and glued it on with fabric glue. Have fun with it and feel free share yours with me!

Mix&Match OOTD/OOTN

What to do when you think you are running out of things to wear? Play around with what you have. Sometimes I find the most random things in my closet and I end up putting a pretty cute outfit together. Ive found that this has helped me out a lot because a) I don't have to run out and buy new stuff every time I need an outfit. I don't know about you guys, but from a college student's point of view...I must spend my money wisely! b) I can make the most out of individual pieces by finding different ways to wear them!
Saturday was very productive. I spent time with my sister at the mall and at night I went to a friends birthday party! I had little time to get ready but it worked out. Here's how I turned my day outfit into a cute and simple night outfit. FYI, This was the same day I took my wavy hair pics for my last blog so if you look closely you can see I have my day time outfit on. I got all of these items including the belts at XXI. And get this.....my top is actually a SKIRT! Get creative with it :]

Just to go the theme of my post. Cudi!

Embrace your hair!

Hey that's me! :D And these are my NO HEAT waves/curls-ish! My hair lenght is now finally about where it to be! It took me foreverrrr to grow it out. My senior year in highschool I decided I'd look super cute with a really short bob!
Not!!!!!!!
Yes that's me definitely not looking too hot and I think that might have been when it was already growing out! Anyway, my hair was extremely short until I discovered extensions by the end of 2008! It eventually started growing. However very, very, slowly! I actually didnt see much of a drastic change till this year almost at the end of my Sophomore year in college! I think it's mainly because I got so busy with school that I never had time straighten my hair or anything so I would just braid it or pick it up in a pony tail. So there ya go! Giving your hair a break from heat appliances may help you see great results. Healthy hair is good hair.

Let's skip to my tip! My hair is naturally slightly wavy and has a mind of its own. I used to always end up straightening it because it drove me nuts if I left it as is. Lately Ive found a way to give my waves more character. After I shower I towel dry my hair and scrunch my hair in sections pulling it up into a high messy bun. THE MESSIER THE BETTER!!! About 15-20 min later I take it down and put a bit of hairspray on. If it's not as curly or wavy as I want it I just put it back up and wait another 10 min. Finally I release it and whip my hair back and forth like Willoh to give it more volume. This may work for some more than others! But give it a try. There's many things you can do to your hair without heat!
Before (Sometimes I even leave it up!)

And After! Hope it work for ya!
Do I hear a NO HEAT CHALLENGE coming soon?! I think yes!! Till next time, <3 Beezy.

DIY makeup container

If you're anything like me, you find yourself looking for stuff in your room all the time because you seem to always misplace everything! I always end up having to buy new brushes and what not and then I kick myself when I find it. To prevent that I decided to ATTEMPT to be more organized. I'm moving into a new house for the school year and I'm going with a safari theme for my room!
What you need:

  • Any empty container (If youre using one made of glass take note that hot glue wont stick!
  • Fabric/material (I'm using a cheetah print to go with my theme. You can find cheap fabric               anywhere like WalMart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels ext...)
Step One
Put glue on the edges of the container. I just did two sides of my container
Step Two
Cut the extra fabric

Done! Here's the final product below. I'm putting some of my makeup and brushes in it, but you can also use to keep jewelry and accessories :]

No.7 Lips

Pretty in pink! Nothing beats topping off a friendly smile with the right lipstick. I've been teased about using lipstick because it's supposidlyyyyyy for older ladies, but I'd go for one over lip gloss any day! I personally like natural colors like nude, peach, or "barbie pink" I like I call my favorite baby pink items. So I was super excited to find my all time favorite make up line, No.7 by Boots,  having lipsticks on sale!

The two shades I got are called Innocent (left lipstick and top stroke) and Pink Angel (right and bottom) The one I'm using in my pictures is Pink Angel. By the way I am definitely nottt naked in the middle picture! I was wearing a tube top, Bible! Anywho, the price on these usually run from $10-$15. No.7 is my favorite, favorite, favorite make up brand! Target is the only store I know offers it or you can also place your order online. The first product I used was their moose foundation. It's perfect; I always end up going back to using it. I'll share more of their products soon. Theyre healthy, flawless, and inexpensive! <3 Beezy.

Otis!

Watch the Throne mode! All who have been keeping up with Kanye and Jay Z know exactly what I'm talking about. So today  I watched the video premier for Otis. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this album. They never fail to please. Before I go to bed I'll share some "latest and greatest" from to of the hottest in the game!
Kanye West- Through the Wire
The first song that really got me into Kanye West.

Kanye on Def Poetry. A bit old, but I love these. I'm one to look for good lyrics. If you can analyse a song and read it word for word you find the depth in it and the beauty of real music.

Jay Z- Death of Autotune (DOA)
"Only rapper to rewrite history without a pen. No I.D. on the track let the story begin!..."

Jay Z- Big Pimpin with UGK... Classic!

Jay and Kanye!- Otis

Cute Nails!

Ello! So I've decided to make my next blog on fun and easy nail designs! Now I am definitely not the best at painting nails....actually I'm not good at all, but I like to keep my hands looking "purrty". This week I  tried two different styles. I'm sure many gals have heard of the crackle nail polish. Nothing too new, but I had never tried it and waalaah here it is. My friend Carmen actually did mine. We went bargain shopping at Dollar Tree and found a set of Cover Girl crackle nail polish! It also came with a glittery coat polish; all for one buck! So there you go, always look for good deals! It's super easy and quick. First apply TWO coats of a base color (I used a mint color) As the base dries apply a layer of crackle nail polish (I used black) over. If you don't apply two coats of the base before using the crackle nail polish you will notice tiny cracks in result. Not as nice. Lastly apply the a coat of clear nail polish. Make sure to use plenty to secure the cracks from maintaining their original design.

CG Crackle- black

Today I tried an "outer space" design I got from AdreasChoice. She's AWESOME. I lalalalove how my nails turned out. The colors I used however look more like tie-dye than outer space-ish. I'll post Andrea's DIY tutorial! Sorry my pictures aren't the best, but then again this is my attempt to blog at 3 in the morning!
Good night- Beezy <3
